Author: Julia Futo
“Why try and be like everyone else when I was born to be different?” Born blue and ill, Julia has been fighting for her life from her very first breaths. Her childhood was no bed of roses as she was diagnosed with developmental coordination disorder at the age of five and had difficulties learning as well as performing every-day tasks. She sees her disability not as a hindrance, but as a gift, as she believes it allows for her to understand both neurotypicals and those that are “different”. She is passionate about helping others and making a difference.
